Sara Gonzalez-Rothi is the Visiting Associate Professor of Environmental Law at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Prior to joining the Haub Law faculty in 2025, Professor Gonzalez-Rothi served in a variety of roles within the United States Senate and the Executive Office of the President. Sara served in the White House for all four years of the Biden-Harris Administration as the Senior Director for Water at the Council on Environmental Quality; in the United States Senate for nearly a decade; and at the National Wildlife Federation for two years. In her personal capacity, Sara has served on the advisory board of the Women's Aquatic Network and the Maryland State Parks Commission, and currently serves on the Davidsonville United Methodist Church Staff-Parish Relations Committee, the Coastal States Stewardship Fund Board, and the Green Amendments Legal Advisory Board.
